New every morning is your love, great God of light, and all day long you are working for good in the world. Stir up in us desire to serve you, to live peacefully with our neighbors and all your creation, and to devote each day to your Son, our Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.

Today’s Reflection

With God, our detours and wrong turns are not the end of the road. If we pay attention to God’s grace, our losses and bad choices can turn us toward a new road that will lead us to the new things God will be doing in our lives. Even when what we’re facing and dealing with is not good at all, God is always up to something—and that something is always for our good.

—Mary Lou Redding, God Was with Me All Along: A Guide for Capturing Your Memories and Telling Your Story (Upper Room Books, 2020)

Today’s Scripture

We know that God works all things together for good for the ones who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose.
—Romans 8:28 (CEB)

Prayer for the Week

Loving God, be near me as I recall events from my life. Guide me to look at my past with forgiveness and love. Help me to accept where I am in my life journey and to recognize ways you have been present with me all along. Thank you for your unconditional love and for the strength you give me each day. Amen.

God’s grace is always there, isn’t it? We just have to have eyes to see it. These days I find His grace showing up via The Spirit when I am having wrong thoughts about another person, caught up in my own frustration. His grace beckons me back to Him. His grace asks me to be graceful.
I have begun my 8 week training – it is fully online and I am able to set my pace each week with a new module. A lot of things surfacing during the readings and tasks we are doing. I am grateful to be able to step away, as needed, gather my thoughts, and continue on. I have much to learn.
Played tennis yesterday morning and was able to get my yard mowed and tidied up before some rain.
Today is pretty full. My nephew is having a cookout. One of my students will be looking in on the Kittens while dad and I head to the beach next weekend. She is stopping over to meet them, get the key to the house and see where things are. Dad and I are invited to a retirement party at my church following the cookout. He will get to meet all the couples who will be at the beach house with us.

While there are moments when God’s grace is more evident to me, usually more pronounced or traumatic experiences, in reality God’s grace is ever present helping us with the tiniest issues. Eye, pet, and auto care are bigger issues I’m dealing with, but I feel confident that available resources
will carry us through. I’m working my way through a CBT-cognitive behavioral theory book, and that’s a blessing too. I’m journaling and sharing my experience with Erich, he’s finding that helpful.
Blessings to all on this Trinity Sunday. Thank You, Lord
