New every morning is your love, great God of light, and all day long you are working for good in the world. Stir up in us desire to serve you, to live peacefully with our neighbors and all your creation, and to devote each day to your Son, our Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.

Today’s Reflection

At its most basic level, the only thing that a planter has to offer is the witness to God’s love that is evident in his or her own life. New people will want to examine the planter’s faith to see if Christian discipleship is worthy of their own commitment. Planters who have journeyed through difficulty and remain filled with the joy of their faith have a powerful witness. As they move through the difficulty of planting a new ministry, they will need to rely on this enduring faith.

My lips will shout for joy
when I sing praises to you;
my soul also, which you have rescued.

    “Planters who have journeyed through difficulty and remain filled with the joy of their faith have a powerful witness. As they move through the difficulty of planting a new ministry, they will need to rely on this enduring faith.” Not sure how good a planter I have been, but I still have the joy of my faith that keeps me going. Blue sky, sun, and clouds today ZOOM worship in about an hour. Had Face time with my daughter and granddaughters. Willa’s computer skills at 8 years old are amazing. When I was 8 there were no computers. Have a blessed Sunday, we’re still in Eastertide. Thank You,
    Lord.

    This time of strife and fear and pain has found me leaning on and crying out to the Lord every day. I am alone with h today and fearful as each day since he has returned has been rocked with his anger and accustions and falsehoods.
    Prayers for Robert, for his wonderful family and his church, may all be safe and well.
    Prayers for Ally’s thumb and job search and David’s recovery.
    Prayers for Jill and her tennis partner’s safe travels home.

    I strive to be a joyful witness – it is difficult but I think I am fairly successful with my family, friends and definitely I am successful at exuding hope and joy as I work with my patients as that is what I am called to do to uplift and encourage and help guide them I believe. But only God truly knows my heart. I try to be hopeful but some days are better than others.
    Thankful for a full although difficult work week. Thankful God provides.
    Thankful for my family and the connections that continue near and far. Trying to make plans to see my daughters. Thankful for Easter and the Risen Lord. Blessings to all of you here at the UR. You are a powerful planter and witness Robert- always faithful and strong in your sharing. Prayers for peace for you Julie. God’s peace to all this day.
