New every morning is your love, great God of light, and all day long you are working for good in the world. Stir up in us desire to serve you, to live peacefully with our neighbors and all your creation, and to devote each day to your Son, our Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.

Today’s Reflection

What ability do you hold in your hand? Please don’t compare it with what others have. It may be big or small, but God has uniquely gifted you for a specific purpose. You already possess what God wants to use to bless others. Thank God for your ability; commit yourself to develop it further and to employ it in the service of others. When we use whatever is in our hand with courage and compassion, we begin to contribute toward the building of a better world for all, even if the only thing we can do well is listen!

—Trevor Hudson, Questions God Asks Us (Upper Room Books, 2008)

Today’s Scripture

Instead, we are God’s accomplishment, created in Christ Jesus to do good things. God planned for these good things to be the way that we live our lives.

Hope others find this spot today because when I attempted to comment on the email version the reading was the same but the comments were from another date.
I feel drawn to caring for others. I enjoy it and am good at it and this involves listening well. But it goes beyond listening to the words and listening to the heart and responding with action. I enjoyed being a mom and also my last job when I worked as a nuclear engineer. The job involved dealing with many high level executives and making sure their needs were met and that they were able to do their job. I provided to them the technical information they needed. I am also adept at math and science so how can God use me and what he is he asking of me?
Prayers for Ally’s and David’s health and finances and Brad who is recovering from cardiac surgery and strokes, for Jill’s, Larry’s and Roger’s health, for Lou’s safety and her daughter’s mental health, for Robert’s and and Erich’s relationship and mental health and for Marti and her staff.
Jill, Megan has the name of a person on TikTok that reviewed pet food and makes recommendations and tells you what to look for on the labels. I can have her text you the name if youwant and she said you don’t need TikTok to view the posts.
Thank you for your prayers and may God bless all who visit here.
