New every morning is your love, great God of light, and all day long you are working for good in the world. Stir up in us desire to serve you, to live peacefully with our neighbors and all your creation, and to devote each day to your Son, our Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.

Today’s Reflection

Sometimes we look back on our lives and see how we made choices that wasted time, love, and relationships. We may wonder what good could ever come of our mistakes, what redemption could emerge from our sorrows. Feeling as though we have wasted a part of our lives can leave us stuck in guilt and shame. However, God may have other plans for our misadventures and errors in judgment. God’s kingdom come may not look like what we expect.

I have learned to trust in His timing. For so many years – I didn’t realize I could have a personal relationship with Him. I was not attuned to His voice, ignorant of the reality of His Spirit alive and moving in me. Yet – He beckoned me, in His time, and revealed Himself to me. Yes, I had begun to search, for something, not realizing the breadth and depth of what was to come. Then it was on…thanks to a mature Christian woman who saw my searching and obediently followed the Spirit guiding her. He used circumstances from my past and where He had me to begin His transformation. And so it continues today…so humbled and grateful. And, as I have said many times…it is so good to know that I know that I know. And that unspeakable peace, beyond imagination, fully sating, alive and sustaining.
I hope you have received good news regarding Chai, Julie – and that he is back home with you. Ally – may you and David have a good visit, may you both have energy for it and be renewed by the interactions.
Dad and I are golfing this AM, hoping the storms don’t come until we are done. It is very warm and humid.

I knew God had totally transformed me when He led me to my former occupation as a healthcare worker, followed by caring for the disabled, infirm and the elderly. Just the complete 180 from the work I used to perform involving computer work, and earlier, factory, Walmart customer return clerk, among others. I never stuck anywhere until I was caring for others personally and individually.

The pain is excruciating and tomorrow the doctor wants me to go the ER is the medication for clearing excess fluid doesn’t work. This is unlike my doctor. I am wondering if the insurance is an issue, though it has never guided his decisions before. I think I’m going today instead, even though I’m not experiencing chest pain or increased difficulty breathing. I am sorry. I can’t think straight in this condition and it’s hard to form a thought.

Julie, I’ve been praying for you and Chai. I have been praying for you all. Will try to keep you better posted.

And these three remain: Faith, Hope and Love; and the greatest of these is LOVE!
Sending prayers anchored in God’s Love. 💌🙏⚓🔱❤

I have never encountered this, that God took a mistake or missed opportunity or squandered relationship that I have guilt and regret around and made something right or beautiful out of it. I have many regrets and the guilt and sorrow remain.
Prayers for Jill and Larry, may they be safe as they golf and may Larry find sustaining fellowship with Jill.
Prayers for Marcy, and yes, please go to the ER ASAP. I dealt with this and almost lost my leg and had a PE. Prayers for relief from pain and for safe recovery. I, too, felt I had found my calling when I intered in hospice care during my Master’s in Social Work schooloing. I already had a Master’s in Nuclear Engineering, and although I enjoyed my work, I felt at home in providing hospice care.
Prayers for Ally and David, may they trip be refreshing to body and soul and may they both be well during their time away.
Prayers for Robert, may he remain healthy.
Chai is home but still not eating. The vet provided medicine to stimulate his appetite yesterday and Megan has been force feeding him baby food. The baby food is Tazzie’s for weight gain. Tazzie is sitting on my lap now, I think he needs extra love given his best buds distress.
Prayers, thank you and good health dear UR

Thanks to all for your prayers. Our trip is on hold, as David is worse. I stayed home with him today. Just didn’t feel I should leave him. We are waiting to hear back from his Dr. and home health nurse is coming later today. I thought we had this thing beat. God brought us to this point. Claiming Deuteronomy 31:6: God will never leave or forsake us.
Marcy, I am praying for relief from pain and for healing. I agree with Julie: go to ER. Jill, I lift up your journey as you seek God’s wisdom. I pray you and Larry get to golf. Julie, prayers continue for Chai. Y’all please for me too, as I’m dealing with a lot of anxiety over David. Blessings to all.
