Today’s Reflection
THE NATURAL WORLD surrounds you. … Perhaps you already take walks in a park or around your neighborhood. The next time you do this, look up; see the sky. Look at the trees or the flowers or even the weeds that struggle to grow through cracks in the sidewalk. Listen for the birds. Then draw your attention to the One who created all this. Ask God to make you aware of the presence of the Holy in all things. Realize that God is all around you. Ask yourself, Do I see Christ in the birds and hear the Spirit in the wind? As you ask the question, allow yourself to be drawn into the silence of prayer. Listen for the voice of Jesus.

So glad the daily reflection is back early in the day. Thankful I found it yesterday evening. It’s a sunny day and I’ll be out for a walk soon. Leaves on trees, hills, mountains and the sky all beckon and remind me of God’s presence. Thank You, Lord.
Prayers for Gloria, Marcy, Julie and all with health concerns. Prayers of support for Jill, Becky, Lou, Mary, Connie, Andrea, Betsy, April and the many visitors and readers here at the UR. May this be a God-filled, spirit-filled day for everyone.
Thankful for the ability enjoy to walk outdoors now in the warm weather. My heart is so sad, howeve, because I’ve lost my walking buddy. We had to put our beloved dog, Gus, down Monday. He had been suffering with an abdominal cancer mass and was in great pain. He was so much more than a furry friend to my husband and me. He was my constant comfort when we moved two years ago to a new city, and he helped ease the pain of an empty nest when our children left home. I know we have pet owners here who know how special our furry friends are.
Prayers to all today.
Betsy, yes, I know your loss of your precious dog Gus. Prayers of comfort to you. God Bless.
Betsy, my heart grieves along with yours and I fell your pain. I thank God daily for my kitties and I, too, grieved deeply when I had to put my third kitty to sleep. I know how a pet is much more than a “pet.” My two babies give me a reason to get up every morning and see me through each day.
Robert, I thought of you and your walks when I read ths reflection. I pray for your safety today and every day as you commune with God’s creation. I also missed the reflection yesterday morning and found it late in the evening. I missed this group of supporters the most.
Sara, welcome to the group.
Blessings and prayers for and thank you to all of the UR family
