New every morning is your love, great God of light, and all day long you are working for good in the world. Stir up in us desire to serve you, to live peacefully with our neighbors and all your creation, and to devote each day to your Son, our Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.

Today’s Reflection

UNDER THE EDGE of darkness, O Holy Spirit, you are a trace of light.
You are a peace that startles my fear.
You are a promise that shatters my doubt.
Stay with me, O Spirit,
in my coming and going,
in my doing and believing,
in my trying and trusting,
for now and forever. Amen.

Yes, in the dark of night, when my fears and worries surround me, dear Lord, you come and hold me. I fill my thoughts with you leaving no room for doubt or anxiety. Thank you, my Saviour.
Thank you for your continued prayers for me and my healing.
Yes, prayers indeed for Marcy, Mary and her parents, Jill’s parents, Lou and her children, Betsy and her niece, Andrea and Lowell and their daughter and grandson.
Robert, so good to hear you are making progress with the bank and continue to have needed funds. Prayers for safe travel for you and Erich as well as some quality together time.
Blessings and prayers for each of the UR family and their shared concerns as well as those not shared.

When the disciples were in a boat with Jesus during a tempestuous storm, even they – handpicked by Jesus to be in His inner circle and minister with Him – were frightened.

“You are a peace that startles my fear.” What a beautiful affirmation. Yet I know that some fears may need to be startled repeatedly by God’s peace.

Thank you, Robert, Julie and Betsy, and everyone, for your prayers. I hold all of you in my prayers. For your health, for needed resources, for ill parents and other family/friends, for much much better jobs, for selling a house, for security in financial matters, for fears being allayed. Prayers too for all who are experiencing new beginnings. That would be all of us – each day we begin again. Every time we fall, we begin again. God’s grace envelopes us all, constantly.

    Thanks Julie, Betsy and Andrea.

Blessings to all and have a fruitful week ahead

Thank you, Abba, Father, for this marvelous, loving UR family who accepts all, welcomes all and comforts all who enter. Thank you for Robert and Jill and Mary and Julie and Betsy and Andrea and Connie and April and Francesca and Lou and every other sweet believer that I usually list. (I cannot find my journal.) I pray for every one of us here, every member of their families and friends and all who enter by posting or reading.

Jesus, heal me, please. And teach me to be a better servant, no matter what else happens. Let me walk once again on my own. Holy Spirit, fill me to overflowing with the Love of God. Amen.
