New every morning is your love, great God of light, and all day long you are working for good in the world. Stir up in us desire to serve you, to live peacefully with our neighbors and all your creation, and to devote each day to your Son, our Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.

Today’s Reflection

May all who feel invisible be seen by you, O Christ.
May all who are discarded believe you treasure them.
May the frightened feel safe;
the bruised, soothed; the forgotten,
in you and by you,
O Christ of the cross;
in me and by me,
O Christ of my prayers.

—Pamela C. Hawkins, The Awkward Season: Prayers for Lent
(Upper Room Books, 2009)

Today’s Question

Today’s Scripture

But look here: the Lord’s eyes watch all who honor him,

all who wait for his faithful love
—Psalm 33:18 (CEB)

Prayer for the Week

O loving Christ who waits for us all to move forward, to change inward, to love outward. Wait now with me as I long and learn to become more like you. Guide me to wait with the lost, to stand with the weak, to have a heart for the brokenhearted. Amen.

    Pray that God shows me what to do to show someone that Jesus loves them. #Holy Mischief

    I can linger with them, making sustained eye contact while listening well to their words, their stories. I know how life giving it is to myself, to have these types of interactions. I am grateful to a few people who consistently grace me with this blessing.
    A beautifully sunny, mild day greets us after tremendous winds yesterday. I was fortunate to not loose power and to only have branches down. My church cancelled services this morning as well as this evening, as the power has still not been restored.
    A lazy day here, made a pot of ground turkey, rice and beans for lunches this week. Been reading on the couch as the kittens nap on the top of the couch. Becky’s friend was coming to her house this afternoon.
    Looking forward to tennis this evening, and my final jog tomorrow morning – for several weeks. My body will appreciate the time off, and I am hopeful and prayerful the injection tomorrow is successful. I thank you for your prayers.

    Yes, Gail! God’s wisdom is certainly needed, persistent patience, example and knowing that I might not see the results of my effort are all important.
    Lots going on with Jill, prayers for all you do. School, church, friends, family. Hope you make progress with physical therapy , the injection.
    A most wonderful day today at Bretton Woods, Fresh snow, good skiing, a delightful delicious lunch, and great conversation. A day to remember.. Thank You, Lord!
