WORDS carry much spiritual power. They wound and heal. They break down and build up. They discourage and encourage. Jesus places eternal value on them when he says we will be judged by the words we have spoken. Words are always more than words.
We dare not underestimate the damage that harmful words cause. They can destroy confidence, tarnish reputations, spread rumors, split families, divide communities, and spark wars. The old saying “Sticks and stones can break my bones, but words will never hurt me” is a lie.
In contrast, helpful words of love and appreciation have the potential to bring blessing and life. They can make God’s love real for those around us.

Hopefully the words I spoke to Erich this morning were helpful. The need to move to our destination of interest is getting stronger by the moment. The opportunity Erich needs just isn’t here. Our research says it exists where we are hoping to go.
Prayers for Joan Duffy and her family, visiting hours for her are tonight, and the funeral at church tomorrow morning at 11 am. Prayes for God’s spirit and wisdom to come to the UMC at the special General Conference that starts on Saturday. Long held views, interpretations, understandings are under scrutiny and what is decided will have a huge impact. Continued prayers for Gloria, Marcy, Anneliese, and Julie as each deals with important issues. Blessings to all the UR family, thank You, Lord for always being with all Your creation. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
Grateful for the fellowship and breakfast with my sister today. Also, thanked her for being a wonderful sister and made a batch of vitamin E soap for her.
Daily my time spent with my parents, I try to encourage them to eat more and speak words of comfort in positively to them.
Blessings to all and have a wonderful weekend!
