New every morning is your love, great God of light, and all day long you are working for good in the world. Stir up in us desire to serve you, to live peacefully with our neighbors and all your creation, and to devote each day to your Son, our Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.

Today’s Reflection

SOMETIMES, O GOD, my thirst for you is pushed aside, ignored, or simply quenched by something other – something reasonable, something more popular – than you. But you never go away, never stop, never leave the depths of me. Like an underground spring, you are fresh and free, breaking through. Help me prepare a place for you in the caverns of my soul. Amen.

Yes, there are times when my human nature is easily distracted by unimportant activities, topics, or programs. Very thankfully, some how I am pulled back to God. Without God I would not exist. I need to be reminded of that. All that I have and can do is from God. What would I do without God?

Very glad to hear from Marcy and be able to go to church today. Prayers for resolution to gun violence, Mary’s job situation, Jill’s parents, Lowell, Julie, Betsy, Connie and Robin, Lou, Chloe and Paige, Rusty and K, and Marcy.

Have a blessed Sunday and a good start to the new week.

Thank you, Robert, for alerting me to Marcy’s post. Very good to hear from her. Hope Isis is doing better. Prayers for you, Isis, Erich and Annaliese.
I am very guilty of letting other things and my own fears distract me from God. I am currently dealing with some vey strong and real fears. Please pray for me. My daughter has a job interview on Monday. Although this may seem like a good thing, as I can barely walk, I need her help every day very much. Her getting a job now would be a hardship for me. But this is selfish and I ask God to give me courage and help me overcome my fears and hardships.
Blessings and prayers for each and every one of your shared concerns dear UR friends

There has always been a place for God in the caverns of my soul. I love expressing it in that way.
Praying for Julie. Hope everything comes to a good solution for both you and your daughter. It is frightening when you cannot do things and help is not available. Good help is so hard to find.
Have a great day in church, Robert. Hope you feel His presence as never before.

Thank you Lou, Connie, Andrea and Julie for your prayers. Church buoyed me for what came later in the day.

Prayers for Julie’s mobility, her daughter’s job interview, and a resolution to real and strong fears.

Thankful for the time I have here on the internet in the wee hours of the morning. Slept earlier and was wide awake, will be back to sleep soon.
