Today’s Reflection
REFLECT for a moment on the condition of your heart. How real is your love for God? Is your heart one of stone or of flesh? Allow Jesus, the great searcher of hearts, to search you within. What matters most to God is not our religiosity but whether our hearts are alive and responding in love to God and to others, beginning with those closest to us. I find myself asking the Holy Spirit to keep changing my heart. After all, conversion is a journey that continues throughout our lives.

Prayer for the Week
Lord,
by the light of the Holy Spirit

Search me, O God, and know my heart. Soften my heart to those in struggles around me, both family and strangers. Give me grace to follow your path.
Marcy, thank you for all your kind prayers and words. Going to take my brother to doctor appointment (neurologist) today. I pray for patience and grace with my interactions. The doctor is reading latest MRI results with us.
Happy belated birthday, Robert! Hope your day was special. I’m sure things are different for you with all the changes coming with your move. I too pray daily for the UMC. My heart grieves for the infighting that is taking place over the wording of the Discipline. “Love the Lord God with all your heart, soul, mind and love your neighbor as yourself.” Words I hope they remember.
This glorious spring morning shouts with God’s beauty and I give thanks for the blessings of today. From my bedroom window looking at the crowns of the oak trees, I see the great flycatchers are back now. The beauty of creation fills my heart with God’s love and restores me when I am off-kilter.
Prayers for the needs of dear UR friends and those for whom you pray, and prayers for all who stop by here today. Wishing all a blessed day.
May the Lord continually grow my heart ever larger, like the Grinch’s, as I continue to learn to love indiscrimantly. Help me to love and forgive my enemy.
Prayers for Betsy, may she remember today’s reflection as she interacts with her brother. May he accept Betsy’s aid with grace and not resentment and anger.
Prayers for our dear Marcy. My heart aches for you and your suffering. Please reach out to me on either twitter or facebook (my last name is Dometrovich). Prayers for Lucy as well. I, too, hate to see my babies suffer, as they do not understand the pain. Prayers for Mary and her selfless care for you. May you find help among the many doctors.
Prayers for Andrea, and thanks for her healing going so well.
Prayers for Connie and her love of all God’s creation. I saw a most magnificent sunrise today and thought of you.
Prayers for Mary and her father and his continued stuggles for breath. Strengthen both Mary and her father and ease Mary’s heart.
Prayers for Robert, make straight his path Lord that he may have a smooth transition and warm reception at his new location. I join his prayers that the UMC remember Your words to love our neighbors and may they reread the good Samaritan story.
Prayers, blessings, warm hugs, and thank you dear UR family
Thank you for all your prayers!

I leave the decision on how real my love for God is at this moment and always to God. Only God truly knows that.
Thankful for a beautiful day. Had a wonderful walk with blue skies, a few clouds, sunshine, and very comfortable temps. Am sure Connie would enjoy this weather.
Getting ready for the move, we have made a lot of progress, and a little each day is a good way to go.
More response in a little bit.
Prayers for Betsy’s brother and the visit to the neurologist.
Yes, Betsy, love not only your neighbor but even your enemy. Prayers God’s wisdom comes to all and is followed.
Prayers for Mary and her family at the passing of her Dad. Bless you Mary, you stayed and cared for him so diligently.
