New every morning is your love, great God of light, and all day long you are working for good in the world. Stir up in us desire to serve you, to live peacefully with our neighbors and all your creation, and to devote each day to your Son, our Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.

Today’s Reflection

Bible Verses for This Week: Luke 6:17-19; Luke 6;20-26; Luke 6:27-31; Luke 6:32-36

THIS WEEK’S READINGS talk about caring for those who are poor, hungry, and without homes. Both Isaiah and Jesus taught us that it is important to care for these people.

Plan a way to reach out to someone who needs to know God loves them. Ask an adult to help you think of ways to show God’s love and care to others.

Favorite Verse: “Love our enemies, do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return.”
—Luke 6:35

Thankful for a new day. Bungee, a four year old, all black, female is with us. She’s very active, curious, playful, and meows a lot. Hopefully she’s getting adjusted.

Sponsoring children is one way I help show God’s care and love to others.

Prayers for Julie and her daughter. Healing, comfort, and mobility for Julie and a job for her daughter. Prayers that Mary will find a new job that fits her.
Thankful her Dad is home and doing well. Andrea is home safely, Lowell is doing well. Prayers for Marcy’s health and well being. Her faith and witness help us all. Prayers for Jill’s Mom, Dad, sister and Jill. Thankful for medical help and support for parents during this time. Appreciate all the prayers and comments for all of the UR family. There are many cat, pet, owners here and we share that bond. Anneliese has not had any palpitations for two days, has gone for a short walk, and is able to do more. Very thankful for this improvement. Treatment for Lyme is underway. Erich is doing better, it is helpful to have Bungee here. Blessings to all of you, thankful for your support.

      Thanks Robert!

Glad you managed to get a new car for Erich and yourself. May Erich get a job that is suitable for him.

May all be well for Anneliese

      Blessings

Robert, so glad to hear that you have given Bungee a good home. Especially since all black kitties have a hard time finding a forever home. Also glad to hear that Erich will be receiving Isis’s ashes. I have a beloved kitty’s ashes in a cat shaped urn. I even paid extra to have him cremated alone. This urn is a great comfort.
Glad to hear Erich and Annaliese are both doing well.
I give money to a group that helps kitties, especially feral colonies. That is one way I give to others.
Prayers and blessings for each of my UR friends’ shared concerns. Especially Jill’s family as they await the biopsy results today.
Thank you also for all your prayers.
    For kindness begets kindness evermore.

      Thank you Julie,
Bungee had an active night, didn’t sleep much, but has done what was needed and now is having a nap. She’s had three homes in a little over a week. Her owner passed away, she was at the shelter for a week, and now is with us. Had no idea black cats had that problem. This is Erich’s second
      black cat.

Apparently Lyme can cause a variety of problems, heart palpitations is one of them. With treatment underway, I’m hopeful that problem is being solved. Results from heart tests and the monitor are forthcoming.

It’s sugar weather in VT, saw a sugar house boiling the other day, warmed this Vermonter’s heart.

Blessings to you, comfort for your hands and toe, and positive solutions to mobility and your daughter’s job search-interview.

For God so loved the world – He gave us the greatest gift. May our hearts be focused on this today- pass it on.
Prayers for Jill’s mom- for Erich, Julie and her pain, for four legged friends that love us always, for Andrea and her family, Marcy, Betsy, April, Francesca, Robert, Louise, Connie and all those we hold close in our hearts –

Lou, a reply to a last month post. So many emails to sort out. It’s like sorting the chaff and the grain. Thankful for your sharing, hope there is very good progress with the tasks at hand, especially selling the house. That’s a sweet – sour task I am sure. I did it 21 years ago after my wife passed away. Couldn’t afford to stay there. God is with you and the children and you will make your way. Many blessings!
