Finding God in NatureNew Every Morning | October 18, 2018
I SEE GOD every day when I look at the pink and orange morning sky and the sun peeking out from behind the clouds. I see God every time I dive into the silent depths of the ocean. I’m aware of God when I stop and look at God’s creation. In these moments, my heart seems to be looking at God, and I believe God is looking back. God’s works teach us about who God is. Where do you find God in nature?

O LORD, how manifold are your works! In wisdom you have made them all; the earth is full of your creatures.

Here, with mountains all around, I see God in the cliffs, rocky outcroppings, peaks, changing foliage, and hints of snow, frost or sleet covered mountain
tops. Waterfalls, brooks, and streams add to the beauty. Thank You, Lord.
This week I have fallen asleep with the moon streaming through my bedroom window. The leaves, they are a-changing – beautiful. Tomorrow will take a day trip (no school!) with a friend – and hoping the foliage will line the highways and byways of our trip. The pink of my gerbera daisy seems brilliant under my mailbox, still. Some mornings, more than others, I am aware of the sky when I run – looking at the moon and the clouds. Thank You, Father – for Your handiwork.
Grateful for some time to relax yesterday before going to small group. Grateful for a concert this evening – going with my best friend. And then we will have tomorrow together as well. Very good.
I see God in all of the above listed in reflection and comments. But I also see God in my kitties, in several ways. They are creatures of God, created by Him and perfect in their design. They are beautiful and graceful. But, they also reflect God’s unconditional love and devotion. They accept me for who I am and never judge me lacking. Lastly, they are a gracious gift from God. He has blessed me with their company and funny antics which enrich my days.
Prayers for Erich and his job tryout today. Prayers for Robert and his safety on his walks.
Prayers for Jill and her friend, may they be safe as they travel.
Prayers for Connie. I am thankful for her and her example of gracious acceptance, enduring love, and thankful spirit.
Prayers for Mary and her relationship with her new boss. I pray this boss is more equitable than her previous bosses.
Prayers for Betsy and her family and fellow volunteers.
Prayers for Andrea and her family and their relationships, may they be harmonious.
Prayers for Marcy. May God have her in His care.
Prayers for those left homeless by the weather catastrophies this year.
Prayers for God to help me not be overlooked for the job I applied for recently.
Prayers to all who find this group of loving family members in Christ
Thanks dear Julie!
I see God in the beautiful flowers, sunshine, the clouds, the sky and even the kind man who led me to the training venue I was looking for today. Sometimes I think such kind people are angels God sent to guide us when we are lost. It happens quite a few times already.
Thank you God for your loving kindness!
Blessings to all and praying that in our lives, may God be glorified!
