New every morning is your love, great God of light, and all day long you are working for good in the world. Stir up in us desire to serve you, to live peacefully with our neighbors and all your creation, and to devote each day to your Son, our Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.

Today’s Reflection

When my church celebrates the Eucharist, worshipers walk forward to receive the bread and cup. Patrick, a member of the congregation, now uses a cane as a result of a stroke. He moves very slowly as he comes forward to receive Communion. Patrick could sit in the pew and let the servers bring the bread and cup to him, but coming down the aisle expresses his gratitude to God for walking beside him during his hospitalization and recovery. “Every step I take is a prayer. It’s how I praise God for my recovery,” he says.

December 1st, 2016 I had a heart attack, went to the hospital and they checked me with several tests. I was out on medication. Not long after that I started walking, was in a heart rehab program. Graduated from that and no longer see a cardiologist. I’m still walking and have helped serve Communion through Extended Tabke or by helping a pastor. Very thankful we have a pastor again.
If you post in the morning I can see your posts on my computer in the afternoon and respond the next morning. It was a warm fuzzy feeling with your concerns for me. Glad to be reconnected
    Thank You, Lord.

Every day is a blessing from God. Our bodies are gifts from God. The movement of our limbs are God’s great design. So with every step we are honoring him.
