New every morning is your love, great God of light, and all day long you are working for good in the world. Stir up in us desire to serve you, to live peacefully with our neighbors and all your creation, and to devote each day to your Son, our Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.

Today’s Reflection

However the desire for God begins to show up in our lives, we can trust that God’s grace is at work, that a divine love is active in us, waking us up to the deepest—often hidden—reason for our very existence and freeing us to begin to follow that longing to its truest end: friendship with God, genuine enjoyment of the One who made us.

Out of the hospital after the second hospitalization in January. This time I needed a unit of blood due to extreme anemia. In a lot of pain and having trouble walking.
Thank you for your prayers and prayers for each of you.

Thankful you are out of the hospital, just hope that the reason for being there was resolved.
Continued prayers for safety and health.

Good morning, all. I have been sort of out of touch with everyone. Julie, prayers for healing and recovery. Everyone, please pray for my sister and me as we try to work out getting some personal and sentimental things out of our mom’s house. Mama had a reverse mortgage and the mortgage company has taken possession of the house with no notification . Amy (sister) has a consultation with an attorney this afternoon. I live 300 miles away and can’t be of much help except for prayer support. This is like another death. Thank you for your prayers. Love to all.

Obtaining personal effects should , to my way of thinking, be a problem, sometimes bureaucracy has other thoughts. Praying for the best results.

Prayers for Joann Smith who lost Blair in the last few days. Expected both of them here in NH, but it won’t happen now. Thankful another friend was okay after car accident yesterday. Car is on rough shape. Grateful I got the call to be able to help.

Should I ever need to remind myself that grace is at work – I would just look back and trace His faithfulness…from when I wasn’t really “with” Him, to His grace arresting me and calling Him to Himself to be in relationship, to the people He placed in my life to help me grow in my walk with Him, to the perfect timing of leaving a church of 15+ years to land me at my current church, just in time to begin being supportive of my parents as they aged. And I would turn to Lamentations 3.
School got called last evening around 5:00. Was able to watch my god daughter’s game on livestream, attend my zoom small group and have a very relaxed day today. The snow hadn’t begun in earnest this morning, so I was able to get out for a run, which was unexpected. Snow falling steadily now – haven’t gone out to shovel yet and haven’t heard a snow plow. Can’t imagine we will have school tomorrow – but no notice yet. Baked some gingerbread cookie bars. Done zero school work – guess I am counting on being off tomorrow. Regardless – whatever day we return – I have assessments in all my classes – so any school work I do would get me ahead of the game. Just too comfortable under my heated blanket.
It is good to hear from Julie – I, like Robert, hope there is progress towards resolution. Ally – I pray for this obstacle to be dealt with efficiently and that you and your sister will be able to work together towards the same goal.
