New every morning is your love, great God of light, and all day long you are working for good in the world. Stir up in us desire to serve you, to live peacefully with our neighbors and all your creation, and to devote each day to your Son, our Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.

Today’s Reflection

WHEN WE ARE in deep and growing union with God we begin to exult in the differences of others, just as God exults in the uniqueness of each of us. When we are in intimate relationship with God, we long passionately for the other person’s fulfillment in every way just as God longs for the healing and fulfillment of each of us.

Today’s Scripture

And all of us, with unveiled faces, seeing the glory of the Lord as though reflected in a mirror, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another; for this comes from the Lord, the Spirit.

Indeed, that is a sign of profound maturity – true happiness in seeing others fulfill their potential, using their God-given talents and abilities to blossom into whom God created them to be. And, embracing the unique gifts He has given me – being content with them and intent on honoring Him with the gifts.
Lunch and time spent with dad yesterday, prior to my god daughters basketball game. Dad leaves for Florida in a week, will be there for most of February with my sister and her husband.

Every parent hopes for the best for their children, for some it seems to come easier than others. I’m very much in hope that the business Erich is working on establishing will lead to the sustainability he desires and needs. It is a somewhat tedious process, but he is making his way.. Prayers for success. As Jill wrote,
” true happiness [is] seeing others fulfill their potential, using their God-given talents and abilities to blossom into whom God created them to be.”

I agree with both Jill and Robert, it is heartwarming and exciting to witness another achieving their potential. As Robert stated, this is especially true when the person is your child. I pray daily for God to give me the knowledge and skills to provide Megan the guidance she needs to reach her potential. She has yet to find her place in this vast and confusing world.
Prayers for Jill’s health and safe travel for Larry.
Prayers for Robert, may his train part arrive safely. Happy prayers for hearing from old friends and students. Prayers for Meesook, Anneliese, and Mikey, may all be relieved of pain and heal soon.
Prayers for Andrea and her daughter and emotional healing, for April and her family, for Edy and Bill, for healing for Connie, for emotional healing for Lou, for Joyce and her family, for BJ and her mom, for Mary’s safety in Indonesia, for Marcy’s health and financial issues, for Rick and his schoolwork, health and husband.
    Prayers and thank you UR
