New every morning is your love, great God of light, and all day long you are working for good in the world. Stir up in us desire to serve you, to live peacefully with our neighbors and all your creation, and to devote each day to your Son, our Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.

Today’s Reflection

MORE THAN SIMPLY satisfied with the work of creation God completed on the sixth day, God proclaimed it very good, then entrusted it to us. That’s an awesome task and a huge responsibility, sure to stretch us to our very limit. But in our working for the good of all creation, we set about finding answers to our biggest questions—not only why we’re here but also what we’re here to do. Tending to and caring for creation is a job way bigger than any one of us. We had better reach to join hands.

Today’s Scripture

God saw everything that he had made, and indeed, it was very good. And there was evening and there was morning, the sixth day.

In this prayer for the week- showing up when it counts strikes me- if we all do even just a little- to care for our world – to care for others- to do as Jesus would have us do. It all matters.
Praying for you all today – for your health, peace, and joy.

I agree with Lou, we need to recognize that it is TIME to show up to care for creation. I also see the phrase “lift heavy loads” and recognize what a monumental task we have before us. The humans through the ages have used and abused the creation entrusted to us and we must join with those the entire world over to save God’s gift of creation.
Prayers for Lou and her children, may all be safe and well.
Prayers for Jill as she refreshes her soul in Florida. May she and her sister enjoy a peaaceful time together.
Prayers for Robert. I am thankful for his continued good health and looking forward to receiving news of a therapist.
Prayers for Andrea, April, Betsy, BJ, Connie, Edy, Mary, Marcy and Rick, may all be well and safe.
I just won a Valentine’s Day prize pack from the radio station I listen to each day! I am so excited and thankful for God’s serrendipitous gift. He knew I really needed a lift!

Yes, we all need to join hands and care for the planet we live on, God’s gift to us. Thank you Lou and Julie.
As with most mental-behavioral help providers, I’ll have await before something happens. At this point the most reassured I can be is that help is on the way, I sent a message to help them understand my situation. Congratulations, Julie on winning that prize. Haven’t been a radio listener since greater NY city days when WQXR-the radio station of the NY Times played classical music. I should check into see if NH PR has a classical music station. Have worked on tasks that should help my son today, went for a walk.
Prayers for all the UR family. Thankful God is with us.
