New every morning is your love, great God of light, and all day long you are working for good in the world. Stir up in us desire to serve you, to live peacefully with our neighbors and all your creation, and to devote each day to your Son, our Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.

Today’s Reflection

The divine ratification we need is that which comes with the good news that God really does love all people without exception, that God loves “us,” and, most importantly, that God loves me! The heartwarming part of the Good News is that we do not have to come to this stunning truth all by ourselves. As we make our efforts to reach out and be open to this loving God, God is already there helping us. This is grace: “I am here; I am with you; I love you; I will never let you go!”

—From To Walk Together Again by Richard M. Gula, in A Guide to Prayer for All God’s People by Rueben P. Job and Norman Shawchuck (Upper Room Books, 1990)

Today’s Question

Today’s Scripture

But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit.
—Titus 3:4-5 (NIV)

How amazing. It is all I need. Forgive me Lord when I wander from this amazing mercy and get caught up in my own head and distracted by the weights of this world. Thank you God for loving me- with all my doubts and insecurities and imperfections. Thank you for your unending love. Blessings to all this day.

With my parents and wife with the Lord, it is a blessing to know that the Lord’s love has been with me even before I was born. I am sustained by it. Thank You, Lord. It may be spring , but the wind sounds like winter. In the upper 30s headed for 47 and then down to 37 tonight. This evening the transition team meets as we begin the process of moving forward to a new pastor by the 1st of July.
Most of the seats are installed on the Brill car, the last will go in at final assembly. Preparations for summer temperatures are underway. Hope to find fabric for a special curtain between the kitchen and the living room. Prayers for peaceful progress at problem resolution, improvements in health, and needed financial stability with all this faith community. Thank You, Lord, for the blessings of the day.

Yes, April, very well said, glad to read a post before mine. Thank you!

Yes it is wonderful and uplifting to know I am loved by and watched over by God. I join my praises and thanks to Lou’s and Robert’s. It is hard for me to believe this of myself but I can believe it of our benevolent Maker. I try, with one notable exception, to emulate this love in my daily life.
Prayers for Lou as she prepares to visit her daughter, may she find the necessary travel issues resolved. Prayers for Robert, his church and new pastro, may all work together to further thier good works. Prayers for Ally’s thumb and job search and David’s healing through therapy. Prayers for Jill and Larry, may they find many opportunities to golf together as the weather improves. Prayers for April, Marcy and all the UR including the administrators.

God is shaping me – more and more to be a channel of His incredible love. By staying before Him, remaining in His Word – He continues to mold me.
My tennis team is practicing tonight – later than I like, as we made play-offs and our match is Friday. This is a re-match of the team which beat us in the play-offs in December. I have finally started feeling better, after all the tennis at the tournament. This is really the first time I have noticed my body struggle to return to normalcy. As I told my doubles partner – age + chronic illness = I better listen to my body better.
School continues to be a struggle – getting remote learners to engage. I try to patiently provide longer wait time – and had a few remote learners unmute and answer questions today. But nary a camera turned on. Pretty much 4 more weeks of instruction – then we will be at exams. My seniors – one class is done and the other two are taking their exams this week. Having less papers to grade is a significant help. All of us teachers are weary – but we press on. Now there is talk of supplementing learning with summer help, class, sessions, something. The program I am in is deciding what this might look like. The two teachers who are battling cancer say they cannot possibly take part this summer.
Dad got to play golf with his buddies today – I am very glad for this. He needs something to take up big chunks of his time. This fits the bill.
