New every morning is your love, great God of light, and all day long you are working for good in the world. Stir up in us desire to serve you, to live peacefully with our neighbors and all your creation, and to devote each day to your Son, our Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.

Today’s Reflection

We can compare God’s love to the sun. It is the sun’s nature to give warmth and light. The sun always shines, always radiates its warmth and light. The sun cannot act against its essential nature. Nor can we can stop it from shining. We can allow its light to fill our senses and make us warm; alternately, we can separate ourselves from its rays by putting up an umbrella or going indoors. But whatever we may do, we know that the sun does not change its essential nature.

In the same way, the God revealed to us in Jesus always loves. Like the shining sun, God’s love never ceases. In every moment of our lives, God sends out the warm rays of divine love. This is where the Holy Spirit comes in. If the sun represents God in Jesus Christ, we could say that the sun’s rays represent the Holy Spirit. So to be touched by the Holy Spirit is to be touched by God’s love. Likewise, to be filled with the Holy Spirit is to be filled with God’s love.

Recently there have been several experiences of God’s love and grace. The funds were available to pay off the car loan and make a big payment on a loan from my sister.there are funds available to tke care of the probable drive shaft replacement on the car. Thankful also to Erich who has been a key role player in these events. Reading FORGIVENESS by Adam Hamilton has helped my understanding and provided ways to do this very necessary task all of us are asked to do.”Forgive us our trespasses as we for give those who trespass against us.” Thank You, Lord.
    FORGIVENESS study continues today.

Each morning as I wake up the sun is right there, calling to me and calling to every living creature as well as to everything nonliving. That to me is synonymous to the call of God which is constant for everything.

My most recent experience was being able to rest last night and have a tearful, necessary morning with my God. He met me where I was, tearful, confessing, requesting. Praying through the Fruit of the Spirit – seeking His assistance in making them evident and prevalent in my life.
An easy day at school today, with one class. The seniors wrap up testing this week – with the foreign languages. It is so nice to have extra time to read, organize and put away things.
Tennis season begins tonight – and I am grateful to be playing. This day has been on my mind for quite a long time. I hope to just relish in the goodness of being able to play, to enjoy the competition and to honor my partner as well as the opposition. Let the fun begin!
May begin to rustle around in my flowerbeds if the rain remains at bay. It is overcast, but my tennis match is late – so should have some time to get after it. It is so good for my head space to spend time in my flowerbeds.
