New every morning is your love, great God of light, and all day long you are working for good in the world. Stir up in us desire to serve you, to live peacefully with our neighbors and all your creation, and to devote each day to your Son, our Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.

Today’s Reflection

In many ways, what you decide to do today can make your tomorrow better. Want to feel God’s presence tomorrow morning when you wake up? Read the Bible and pray today. Want to feel happier? Invite a friend to join you for ice cream. Plan today for a better day tomorrow.

I called the hotline and the wait time was 33 minutes. So I googled therapists in my area and sent one an email. So this is what I did yesterday to hopefully brighten all of my future days. The medicine for my ulcerwas working, but yesterday was a very bad day with the horrible tste in my mouth, nausea and severe vomiting. I was left shaking and wiped out. Hopefully today will not be a repeat. I have an appointment with the surgeon today. Please pray.
Prayers for Ally and David’s health and fininaces and in particular David’s upcoming(?) urology appointment. Prayers for Jill as she prepares for her review, may all go well. Prayers for Lou and her mother as they grieve. Prayers for Robert’s opportunity for a house, may it come to fruition if this is God’s plan. Prayers for Marti and her staff. Thank you for your prayers and may God bless all who visit here.

Heavenly Father, I pray that your angels will continue to surround Julie every minute of the day. Whatever and wherever she is, I pray that you will keep her safe and that all who are caring for her will guide her forward in her treatments and with the divorce proceedings.
Just reading these devotionals everyday starts me out with a fresh, new outlook on the day and I lift everyone up in prayer. May we sing for each other when it is too hard for us to sing alone, knowing that God hears us, loves us, and has given us this blessing to share.

Hello all, I will try to keep my focus on Jesus, knowing I can trust Him with my future. As I’m easily distracted at times, this can be a daunting task. Lord, help me. I’m also trying to devote at least30 minutes daily to tasks which help maintain our home so that it doesn’t get too much for me. David gives out easily, but helps when he can. I’m most grateful. I don’t feel comfortable leaving him all day and need to be proactive in searching for work from home opportunities. If I’m approved for disability, I can still work a few hours per week.
Lou, praying for you and your mom as you grieve the loss of your beloved aunt. Also for your mom as she grieves the loss of strength to do the things she wants to do. Robert, prayers continue for your church. Praying for your and Erich’s relationship and for the possibility of moving into a house. Jill, prayers as you prepare for your review. Your account of not being able to sing at church resonates with me. Julie, praying your search for a therapist is fruitful and for your and Megan’s relationship. I pray that she will be kind. Praying for healing. April, thank you for your insight. I too pray that we can sing for each other. Rick, good to hear from you. Thanks to all for your prayers. May God keep us safe. Blessings to all.

Progress was made with my eye exam and teeth cleaning before noon and both mortgage pre-approval and a visit wth a real estate agent in the afternoon. A busy day. Thank you all for your prayers, there is progress from them. Prayers for safety, a therapist, review at school, health concerns, legal proceedings, and grieving. I believe God enjoys every voice that sings in worship, human ears make judgements. Grace, peace, and blessings. Thank You, Lord.

With so little time remaining in my day – I will do what is best – get to bed early so I can be refreshed in the morning. I had a really hard time falling asleep last night, so I suspect drowsiness will set in quickly. I won’t fight it and will head to bed.
I also worked a little extra long at school, to be sure I was in good shape for the rest of the week. Tomorrow is usually my easier day and I have the morning to prep. But I am chaperoning a group of students from my school. We are going to the local university, where the Ohio Supreme Court is doing its “traveling rotation”. The students will get to hear one case, 30 minutes long, tried before the court. This is quite an opportunity, but I don’t think most of the students recognize it. The last time the Ohio Supreme Court was in our county was 1990. Should be interesting.
For me – 2 incredibly unique experiences just days apart…the Blimp Ride and now the traveling Ohio Supreme Court.
A colleague, who serves part time as our school’s instructional coach, has agreed to meet with me to assist me in preparation for my upcoming evaluation. I hope to spend a good chunk of time on Friday writing up some documents – as evidence. Every thing needs documentation. A necessary waste of time…kind of an oxymoron, but that is how I see it.
So very good to see so many posts…I thank each of you for your contributions/prayers.
