New every morning is your love, great God of light, and all day long you are working for good in the world. Stir up in us desire to serve you, to live peacefully with our neighbors and all your creation, and to devote each day to your Son, our Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.

Today’s Reflection

Laughter is one of God’s good gifts to us. Making time to laugh is a spiritual discipline that can lead us to gratitude for the people and experiences that move us to laughter.

—Mary Lou Redding, God Was with Me All Along: A Guide for Capturing Your Memories and Telling Your Story (Upper Room Books, 2021)

Today’s Question

    My original comments were lost.
Prayers one and all and thank you for your prayers. Afraid to try to repost any more.

Julie, What kind of problem did you have with the comments? – Marti

      • Julie Posted March 10, 2021 9:16 am

I typed them out and hit post as always. It showed the comments but the comment count read 0. I tried reposting and it said it was a duplicate. When I exited out of the site and tried going back to them, they were gone.

Morning to all. Looks like technical difficulties. I pray all have a good and godly day.

My friend has an infectious laugh. She is always chuckling at her dogs and I love her laugh. I don’t think I am quick to laugh. But – what memories come of laughing? Mostly mom, dad, my sister, her husband and I sitting around playing cards or dominoes and then something happens and the next thing we are all laughing. Mom is laughing so hard she is crying, my sister goes running off because she says “I am going to wet my pants”. Another fond memory is dad watching what I call “stupid humor films”…”Dumb and Dumber” comes to mind or any Steve Martin movie and he will get to giggling like a little girl. I find those movies idiotic, but find him pretty entertaining.
It seems surreal – that I will be back in the building tomorrow. I packed up my car – with my chair and cushion and four boxes of binder, supplies, etc. Thinking about packing a lunch and making sure I have my coffee ready to go in the morning – need to make sure I have enough time. I will be setting an alarm, but will likely be awake. Although maybe not, as I will be up later than usual this evening for small group study.
Well- I see others’ posts…hope this posts, but maybe it will drift off to cyber land.
Either way – praying for you all.
