Today’s Reflection
[David] does not attribute his deliverance from danger to his cleverness or his acting skills. Rather, he places God at the center of the event. David acknowledges that while he might have had the presence of mind to put on an act, it was God who softened Achish’s heart, thus causing him to change his mind about David. And so it is from this place of certainty and assurance of God’s safekeeping of those who trust in God that David extends an invitation to steer away from all self-centeredness and all belief in self-sufficiency, in order to taste and see how good God—the liberator—really is.

Recently, while driving, a large pickup truck came from the left and would have hit me had I not turned to the right and off the road to an open area. I’m watching and avoiding the truck with no time to check if there is a place for me to go. Thankfully that open area was there and I was safe.
God was in this situation, I don’t fully understand it, but God made safety possible.
Need to be up and about, have a 9 am counseling session, Bible study follows. Making good progress with financial planning. Enjoying cooler weather. Thank You, Lord
i know there have been times but I cannot think of one now. I know I have a lead on a job that should remain available indefinitely by tallking to a person in church. She was the first person I spoke to about anything personal and she offered that the company she works for is always hiring customer service individuals due to high turnover. It is even a work from home opportunity.
Prayers for Ally and David, for health and financial deliverance. Prayers for Jill and her students as they take the ACTs and Jill spends the day with another colleague, may all do well in their respecive roles. Prayers for Robert, may his counselling go well and bear fruit. Prayers for Marti and her staff. Thank you for your prayers and may God bless all who visit here.
I think of how God protects me when I am out on my early AM runs in the dark. Safety from others who would do me harm, but also safety when I step on cracked cement, fall on black ice, slightly turn an ankle in a pot hole. I badly hurt one ankle in college and even now, a slightest twist brings back that initial shock. I thank Him for the strength in my ankles and for keeping me safe from harm.
I got quite a bit accomplished today and things ran very smoothly in our room. Our students were quiet and compliant.
Julie – I am encouraged by this job opportunity for you, mostly encouraged that a person whom you opened up to had an offering for you.
I got out for a walk after dinner – a very pleasant day today. Tomorrow, too, is to be very nice. The Blimp ride has been re-scheduled for this Sunday. Hoping the weather will allow the third time to be a charm.
