New every morning is your love, great God of light, and all day long you are working for good in the world. Stir up in us desire to serve you, to live peacefully with our neighbors and all your creation, and to devote each day to your Son, our Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.

Today’s Reflection

In naming our gifts and experiencing ourselves as enough, we honor God’s work of creation. My spiritual director often asks me: “Have you allowed God to thank you?” Her question can remind us to create space to hear God’s gratitude for the ways we choose to share life with God. It can be difficult to let God thank us for the work we do, to let God enjoy who we’ve been created to be, and to enjoy for ourselves who God has made us to be. Yet listening for and experiencing God’s love and gratitude helps us see ourselves more clearly. When I see myself through God’s loving eyes, I am filled with joy and awe: I like who I see.

Prayer for the Week

May I be a river, free of attachments, flowing lavishly and abundantly through the day, moving with your currents, and bringing life and refreshment to my children. Amen.

That’s a new idea, allowing God to thank me! Of the two, God and me, I am certainly the lesser. My existence depends on God. Thank You, Lord.
Happy Mother’s Day to Mothers past, present, and to be.
There’s progress toward putting the condo on the market, it will be helpful and necessary when it comes to buying .
Hope this is a blessed day for everyone.

This is a foreign concept to me. Something about it just doesn’t seem right. I pray I am glorifying Him, living as He would have me live. But, I would never think to expect to receive a thanks from Him. Hmmm. I do long to hear Him say – well done, good and faithful servant. That is what I strive for.
A gloriously sunny day here and the sun is so warm. The church service this morning was beautiful. A smaller gathering than their other two services. May have to keep this option in my back pocket if I begin to feel unsafe at my church.
My closest colleague at school tested positive for covid Friday morning. She got word to me and is nervous as we speak often throughout the day. She always wears a mask, as do I. Hoping her case is mild. Sorry she has to be separated from her two beautiful girls today, due to this.
Dad and I should have an enjoyable afternoon on the links. Even though it is not going to get out of the 60s – the sun should make it quite comfortable.
Happy Mother’s Day to visitors to this spot. May the activities of the day, as well as memories, make this a beautiful day for you.

I don’t think I have considered that God should want to thank me. I try to thank God every day for the gifts God has given. This is something to ponder.
David and I got our 2nd boosters last Sunday. David came through fine. I had four like symptoms and extreme fatigue for several days, spending 2 days in bed. Still experiencing fatigue, but better. In the midst of all this, my sister and a friend of ours visited for a few days. They headed home today and I miss them already! Please pray for a dear friend who has been having thoughts of suicide.
I pray all have a nice Sunday.
