Today’s Reflection
These days I feel like I am living in the wilderness. . . .
And yet the wilderness is a familiar, if uncomfortable, place for those of us who follow the Holy One. The people of Israel wandered for forty years in the wilderness before finding the Promised Land. Jesus was baptized and was driven into the wilderness for forty days. This Lenten season is our forty days in the wilderness. Days in which we are called to self-examination, repentance, and returning to the heart of God.

I expect a tough time of research and decision on a new housing idea. Just getting started, there’s a lot that is unknown. So far Lent has been good with two Bible/book studies with Adam Hamilton and Tom Berlin. ThankYou. Lord
Sometimes my life feels like one long wilderness. Physical and emotional pain, loss, and hardship are among the situations I and many others have had to endure through life.
