Today’s Reflection
Liberating God, who desires people of all nations to live in freedom, you have called us here by your Love. Thank you for dwelling among us. We gather corporately to declare the wonders of your hands. Pour out your Holy Spirit upon us. Let our lives glorify your Holy name. Anoint our worship; consecrate us for your service. Allow us to see your face and live so that our lives will reflect your image of perfect love!
—Stacey Cole Wilson, “We Come to Thank You,” in The Africana Worship Book (Year C), edited by Valerie Bridgeman Davis and Safiyah Fosua (Discipleship Resources, 2008)

Prayer for the Week
Almighty God, speak to us today as you spoke to those who went before us. Tell us the stories of Your wonders and greatness. We are ready to hear them. Remind us once again of your grace and love. Help us teach your goodness to our children and the next generation. Amen. [prayer adapted from “Worship Resources for Juneteenth Day Celebrations” in The Africana Worship Book (Year C)]

There are truly so many people to be thankful for! Parents, relatives, friends, children, new acquaintances that are becoming friends, BUT ABOVE ALL IS GOD- Father-Son- Holy Spirit without whom everyone else would not exist. Thank You, Lord.
Life and Grace ….Amen !!!
I thank God that my mother and I will be celebrating her 82nd birthday next month. I am thankful that both my mother and her sister, my aunt who will be 90 next month, are still well and independent.
