New every morning is your love, great God of light, and all day long you are working for good in the world. Stir up in us desire to serve you, to live peacefully with our neighbors and all your creation, and to devote each day to your Son, our Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.

Today’s Reflection

God is a God of revelation. Light shines; it does not keep to itself. It shines to manifest itself and to dispel darkness. Similarly, God’s nature is to reveal.

—Steve Harper, Walking in the Light: Knowing and Doing God’s Will (Upper Room Books, 2014)

Today’s Question

Is something hidden from your view? What might happen when God’s light of truth reveals what is hidden? Join the conversation.

Today’s Scripture

But everything exposed by the light becomes visible.
—Ephesians 5:13 (NRSVUE)

Prayer for the Week

God of all things, you have created me for a purpose. As you walk with me down the road you have prepared, show me the next right step to take so I can do your will. Amen.

What will happen in the future. That has been true all of my life. Believing, knowing that God is always present, I am not fearful. “Nothing in all the world can separate us from the love of God.”
    Thank You, Lord.
