New every morning is your love, great God of light, and all day long you are working for good in the world. Stir up in us desire to serve you, to live peacefully with our neighbors and all your creation, and to devote each day to your Son, our Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.

Today’s Reflection

Knowing God and knowing self is an every day, every hour, every minute invitation. It’s a constant give and take, receiving and releasing, embracing and letting go that occurs as we continually turn our lives toward God. It is recognizing what doesn’t make up our identity—the roles, titles, accomplishments, and measures of success—and what does.

—Marsha Crockett, Speak, My Soul: Listening to the Divine with Holy Purpose (Upper Room Books, 2024)

In God is where we find our true selves – speak Lord I am listening- may we all quiet the craziness of the world around us and listen to the voice of God speaking to us. I pray for Him to continue to lead and guide me.

Laying ourselves bare removes the junk, the pride, the things we cling to for security. It can be a daunting process. It involves a level of trust I struggle to attain at times. Lord, help me to trust and not be afraid to be laid bare, so that who I am in You is at the forefront. Help me to move forward with you Lord, even when I am afraid. Help me to rest, be still, and listen for Your voice. Amen.
