Today’s Reflection
Knowing this love, knowing that this love matters more than anything and that this love is the ultimate defining characteristic of you as a child of God is, I believe, the key to rebounding from and persevering through failure. Not knowing that Jesus loves you and not knowing it deeply makes it a lot more tempting to characterize yourself in other ways, including defining yourself by the success or failure of your ministry.

Today’s Scripture
See what love the Father has given us, that we should be called children of God, and that is what we are.
—1 John 3:1 (NRSVUE)
Prayer for the Week
Loving God, in our failure and our pain, remind us that we are still your beloved. Give us the courage to face what hurts, the grace to grow from it, and the faith to trust that no failure is final in your hands. Help us risk, hope, and live boldly—knowing you walk with us every step of the way. Amen.

I rely on the fact that God is ever present. That means that God’s love is ever present too for GOD IS LOVE. Thank You, Lord.
While we live our lives on this earth, we are not from or of this earth. It is our temporary home. The place of our spiritual education.May we learn well and through God’s gifts of love, mercy, grace, and redemption return to our eternal home. Thank You, Lord.

With the knowledge of God’s love, I can acknowledge that failures in this world are not failures in God’s eyes. They are lessons he wants his child to use to grow and mature.
The greatest danger for most of us is not that our aim is too high and we miss it, but that it is too low and we reach it.

If we fall down in the ministry, it can fee epic. But God’s grace helps us get up again and learn from our experience. A famous musical artist who lost her life in a tragic way told good friend that she fell often, “but the Lord picks me up!”. It ‘s great testimony. Even in her last moments, I have no doubt that God was with her. He is with all of us, no matter how messed up things seem. Jesus will fix it!
