Today’s Reflection
THE CHURCH is the means for carrying out the mission that Jesus gives us. As individuals, we each have an important part to play. We can pray, give, serve, and become effective personal ambassadors for Christ. However, we release our greatest power to change the world when we come together to organize and focus the resources that we each bring. A church of any size can have a much more powerful impact than its individual members can have on their own.

Lord, help us be the Church you created us to be. Submit your prayer to The Upper Room Living Prayer Center or share it in the comment section.
Something More
Since World War II, The Upper Room has been sending copies of the daily devotional to military chaplains (and now to prison chaplains) for their ministries. Between Memorial Day and July 31, we aim to raise $100,000 for this valuable ministry. Please help our troops by giving today.

My class has organized taking meals to a couple where the wife can’t get out. She has special dietary requirements. Our church provided 400 lunches to school kids one week in June. We are co-sponsoring mission teams to the evangelical Methodist church in El Salvador. The work is building churches, a high school, and delivering groceries to families in the neighborhood.
This is one reason I have not attended my church in many years. Although the church is located on the outskirts of a very economically depressed area, they do litlle for the people who live in need. They raise funds that are then spent on the church, not on others. I have felt we as a church community should do more, as God and Jesus instructed.
Prayers for Robert and Erich, may Erich find a great job.
Prayers for Betsy and her husband as their move progresses.
Prayers for Connie and all her flowers and hummers and her joy.
Prayers for Mary, may she be blessed for all she does for so many.
Prayers for Marcy, may she be receiving care.
Prayers for Gail and her church community and their Christian works.
Megan and I spent a lovely day together yesterday. We went to the movies, shopping and had dinner at one of her favorite restaurants.
Prayers, blessings, warm hugs and thank you dear UR family
Thanks Julie!
Our church is reaching out to needy seniors and missions overseas.
Lord, help us be the Church you created us to be.
Blessings!
Thanks, Julie.
I know my new church supports efforts to care for and educate children in India.
So far so good with settling in. Have a new dentist and a new primary care doctor is on the way. Emptying out the storage site, finding what I need, and enjoying the decrease in humidity.
Prayers Julie finds a church that does the work Christ asks of us. Thankful she and Megan had a great together. Prayers for an even better result with the current home life situation.
Prayers that Marcy is getting the medical and financial help and attention she needs.
A safe and good move for Betsy and her husband, hope Andrea and Lowell are well mended, Lou and her children are doing well, Mary and Molly are blessed after their care of their parents. Jill, her Dad, and Becky are well into restoration and recovery. Thank You, Lord.
Thanks, Julie.
