Today's Reflection

JESUS EXPERIENCED the human condition in all its highs and lows. He had to figure out things and learn what it means to be human. This means I can look to Jesus for guidance, insight, and encouragement as I navigate the road of life. Because Jesus was fully human, I know he understands the joys and sorrows of human existence. He experienced firsthand what it means to deal with temptation, to weep over suffering and death, to be afraid, and even to doubt our faith. When I’m praying to him about my trials and tribulations, I know he can empathize and offer the comfort and peace I need. When I struggle in my faith, I’m invited to turn to the “pioneer and perfecter of our faith” for wisdom and guidance. When I am suffering, I am drawn to seek solace from the One who has intimate knowledge of suffering and death.
