New every morning is your love, great God of light, and all day long you are working for good in the world. Stir up in us desire to serve you, to live peacefully with our neighbors and all your creation, and to devote each day to your Son, our Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.

Today’s Reflection

Promise of new life
Coming out of death.
Resurrection.

Welcome, beauty.
Welcome, buds.
Welcome, newness.
Inside and all around me.

You, God, source of hope,
Source of healing,
Source of life.
Welcome, welcome.
Make your home in me.

—Beth A. Richardson, “Welcome, Spring,” in Christ Beside Me, Christ Within Me: Celtic Blessings (Upper Room Books, 2016)

Sometimes. Moments like right now with my cat sitting on my lap and purring, it is easy to be aware of God. In the rush of some moments of my day, not so much.
Come forth into the light of things. Let Nature be your teacher.
    William Wordsworth
