New every morning is your love, great God of light, and all day long you are working for good in the world. Stir up in us desire to serve you, to live peacefully with our neighbors and all your creation, and to devote each day to your Son, our Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.

Today’s Reflection

What direction shall we run, if we would run away to God? I can only answer, He is within you already. Seek Him in the very deeps of your souls.

—Keith Beasley-Topliffe, Editor, The Upper Room Spiritual Classics: Writings of Thomas Kelly (Upper Room Books, 2017)

Today’s Question

Today’s Scripture

For everyone who asks receives, and everyone who searches finds, and for everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.
—Luke 11:10 NRSVUE

Prayer for the Week

O God who lives within me, when evil prevails, when dry and barren seasons come, you suffer beside me, and you beckon me into your peace. As I sit, quietly in your presence, you teach me the way of serenity. Amen.

I know God is ever present, I don’t know if I recognize living and breathing in me. I start the day with this reflection, perhaps that is due to God’s presence. Thank You, Lord.
