New every morning is your love, great God of light, and all day long you are working for good in the world. Stir up in us desire to serve you, to live peacefully with our neighbors and all your creation, and to devote each day to your Son, our Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.

Today’s Reflection

WHEN THE STORMS of life threaten to knock us off course, God doesn’t want us to cower in fear. God wants us to spring to life, the abundant life Christ came to give us. But the abundant life cannot be lived in confinement; it needs room to roam. Emboldened by the truth and secure in the love and acceptance of Christ, we can venture into life’s wilderness free of fear and “confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus” (Phil. 1:6).

I do not know that I’ve ever felt God calling me to do anything per se. I know that there are things I want to do in order to deepen my relationship with Him that I have procrastinated in beginning, especially finding a church. I pray for Him to take the fear from me and to give me a proverbial kick in the behind!
Prayers for Marcy, may her medical issues be addressed and may she have less pain.
Prayers for Mary, may she have strength to selflessly give to so many.
Prayers for Connie and may her garden soon bloom, warming her soul.
Prayers for Besty, may her grandson grow strong and be healthy.
Prayers for Lou, may God guide her as she helps her daughter find a college.
Prayers for Andrea, may she be safe as she travels.
Prayers for Edy and Bill, may Bill’s symptom’s be less as he waits for aurgery.
Prayers for Robert, may he resolve the misunderstanding with Anneliese. (Sorry, may I ask is Anneliese your sister?) Prayers for God’s guidance as he prepares to move.
Prayers for Rusty, may he remain safe as he travels and works with dizziness. May his physical issues resolve soon.
Prayers for Jill and her family. May Gloria not be in pain and may all feel God’s peace.
Prayers and blessings and warm hugs to each of the UR family

Yes, recently, one of my friends have moved nearer to my neighborhood and is visiting a church nearby. She has asked me to join her but there are three churches within walking distance from my house. I hope to join her one Sunday.

Amen to all your prayers, Julie, and thank you for praying for all of us daily!

May God bless you and your family abundantly!

Probably both intentionally and unconsciously. I’m human. We even see this trait briefly in Jesus who asked if this cup could be taken from Him, but thn said Thy will be done/

Thankful that work yesterday and again this morning should help keep us dry.
Have lots of snow and ice on the roof. Have cleared one small roof and made a drainage channel on a bigger roof. The path for water to follow to the pond has been cleared.

Grateful for French toast with maple syrup for breakfast. The hospital gym reopens on Tuesday and the hours are longer. Will be glad to go back. Have started paperwork to help with house buying. Sadly Anneliese does not hold the mortgage on the condo sale. Was in hopes that would provide long term income. Have to figure out what support I can provide. A cook for the pork loin dinner has been found and that event is underway. Will help serve it this afternoon.

Prayers for Gloria, Marcy, Rusty, Julie and the medical situations they face. Thankful that God is with them and us always. God sees us through every situation. God’s wisdom and guidance to all. How amaxzing that God can handle all situations, circumstances all the time. Lean on Him when you’re not strong. Thank You, Lord. Blessings and God’s peace.

Anneliese is my wife, but not the mother of my son. Four times after Erich’s Mom, my first wife , Soo Ok, passed away, I tried to find someone again. It has not been easy or totally successful.
