New every morning is your love, great God of light, and all day long you are working for good in the world. Stir up in us desire to serve you, to live peacefully with our neighbors and all your creation, and to devote each day to your Son, our Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.

Today’s Reflection

Be thankful. Be thankful that you are part of the body of Christ. Be thankful for the spiritual adventure of life in Christ. Be thankful for the ways in which you understand God’s love. Be thankful on waking each morning for a fresh awareness of God’s love. Be thankful for the sustaining support of God throughout each day. Be thankful and rejoice in the knowledge of God’s love in the incarnation of Jesus Christ. Thanks be to God!

I am thankful to be home, safe and sound. Thankful for the time away – time in the sun, time to be utterly unaware of time.
I am thankful too, for this New Year – excited to see what He has in store for me. I am thankful for His Presence – for the confidence I have in this truth of Him being with me always.
I am thankful for my home – my safe space with my Kittens – so good to come home last night. Consistency and routine are a comfort to me…ready to get back into it.
Church today, a lazy afternoon and dinner service at the homeless shelter this evening. My god son is playing later tonight in a showcase event – but I won’t be able to make it. Will tune in to the livestream as soon as I get home this evening. His team played on the West Coast over the holidays and were in some steep competition. They took their lumps, winning 1 of 4. Hopefully this will get them ready for the second half of their season and tournament play.
