Today’s Reflection
WE LIVE IN a world where bad things happen to good people. All of us have pain in our lives, to varying degrees. Our pain has a way of drowning out the sound of our truth, that place deep within us that always has known we are God’s beloved. This means the spiritual life is, in part, about recovering our voice and returning to our truth. It’s a journey forward and a journey back: forward toward the voice of the One who made us, back to the truth that always has been in us. We clear away the mess of the lies and noise that tell us we are not worthy until we can see with great clarity that we are God’s beloved.

Reading the UR, reading the Bible, listening to worship music- all help me clear out the mess and the noise. Thankful for all the ways that God continues to help and bless me. Thankful for safe travels and a wonderful visit with my girls – thankful that God loves me, a sinner.
Wishing all a blessed day today.
Reading the Bible, the UR Devotional and the UR Reflection. Gazing at the UR Sight Psalm is very refreshing and clears away the mess and noise.
Prayers for Lou and her children, may they remain close.
Prayers for Jill. Thank you for your heartfelt prayers for me regarding feeling God’s love. One difference between us is that you have always been loved by your earthly father and he has always shown you his love. I did not have a loving earthly father. He was abusive and cold and let it be known that his children were nothing in his eyes other than weights around his neck.
Prayers for Robert and Erich, may they regain their close relationship so Erich feels his earthly father’s unconditional love.
Prayers for Mary and her aunt, may both be well.
Prayers for Andrea and for her safe travels.
Prayers, blessings, warm hugs and thank you dear UR posters, readers and administrators, neighbors all
Thanks Julie! We are well. Grateful for your prayers. My aunt is back to her routine. I am busy with tuition cause this is the exam period for my students so I am teaching every day.
Reflection, journaling and self affirmation
help me clear away the mess and noise.
Blessings to all!
Sitting quietly, purposefully – in the morning – gets me prepared for the day. Taking a few moments during the hecticness of the day to be intentionally still, this also helps. Calling to mind a verse, listening to worship music.
Yes, Julie – I am so blessed by my earthly dad, his example, his love.
Lou – I easily hear the blessedness in your words, or your time with your girls. Mary – may God continue to bless others through your faithfulness.
I will be traveling to a conference a few hours away today…it is going to be a gorgeous Fall day. May be a bit too early for much Fall foliage color – we will see. A nice break in the routine.
