New every morning is your love, great God of light, and all day long you are working for good in the world. Stir up in us desire to serve you, to live peacefully with our neighbors and all your creation, and to devote each day to your Son, our Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.

Today’s Reflection

By acknowledging concrete, down-to earth activities—eating, drinking, making decisions, generous sharing, hospitality, and walking—as the means through which God comes to us and by which we participate in God’s work in the world, Christian practices remind us of the sensible, everyday qualities of Christian life. Christian faith involves more than simply believing certain things about God. It is also a matter of practicing our faith.

—Thomas R. Hawkins, Every Step a Prayer: Walking as Spiritual Practice (Upper Room Books, 2016)

I recycle, advocate for justice, the environment, the protection of wildlife, animals, pets, and care for others through time spent, assistance provided. Proverbs Bible study going well, need to do more than understand the proverbs, have to apply them. Had a great snowshoeing experience yesterday in the White Mountain National Forest. May be out there again today. Hope Julie is healing in many ways: physically, emotionally, spiritually and a resolution to the current situation is soon at hand. Prayers too for Jill and Larry, Ally&David, Lou and all those who come to the NEM website. Praying for an end to the pandemic, resolution of many issues facing our country and the world. What we have caused, we need to fix. With God’s wisdom that’s possible. Thank You, Lord.

I thank people. When I was in the hospital I went out of my way to thank everyone and especially those who cleaned the rooms. When their supervisor asked me about them I heaped on the praise. I told the one working that day and she was so very thankful because she had not been having a good day.
My leg is still sore and my stomach is still unsettled. I am done with 2 of the meds that they gave me when I left the hospital. I will stop the one I was told I would be taking forever because I think it is the source of the nausea. Megan applied for a promising job opportunity yesterday.
Prayers for improved health and finances for Ally and David and improved health for Jeremy and Roger. Prayers for Robert’s safety as he enjoys snowshoeing and Jill’s safety and connection with her students as she returns to the classroom. Thank you for your prayers and may God bless all who visit here.
