New every morning is your love, great God of light, and all day long you are working for good in the world. Stir up in us desire to serve you, to live peacefully with our neighbors and all your creation, and to devote each day to your Son, our Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.

Today’s Reflection

Epiphany invites us to move outward in mission and ministry. I may be guilty of stretching the meaning of the magi’s journey home, but I do believe their return points to our outreach. We do not come to Christ and leave unchanged. Christ touches us, and nothing remains the same. We invite, teach, pray, support, sustain, nurture, assist, and encourage others.

Today’s Scripture

All of us, with unveiled faces, seeing the glory of the Lord as though reflected in a mirror, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another, for this comes from the Lord, the Spirit.
—2 Corinthians 3:18 (NRSVUE)

I am decidedly more patient, cautious with my words. Thank You, Lord.
