Today’s Reflection
Pursuing wholeness has led me to freedom from a façade. I’m not pretending to have it all together anymore. Seeking wholeness has trained me to live in very authentic, organic, consistent ways. I live with integrity and can be my true self; I’m not hiding from anybody. I’ve discovered that God’s love for me is not dependent upon my productivity or my positivity. Because I am close to Jesus, I can be vulnerable, and my vulnerability might help others on their spiritual journey. There is no substitute for closeness with Jesus on this soul reset journey. He is the first thing, the last thing, and everything in between!

I don”t have an answer to today’s question.
As the saying goes, “Be yourself because everyone else is taken. ” God made each of us to be his unique creation, to be authentic self honors him.
Human beings are inately designed to seek or pursue, the problem with humanity is we tend to seek fulfillment in things that provide temporary satisfaction. The pursuit of happiness often leads people into a life of constant striving. The writer said that God’s love for us doesn’t depend on our positivity or productivity, therefore our relationship with him is not weighed by our feelings or how much good we are doing, but rather it is groomed by our constant connection to him through spiritual discipline, daily prayer, studying the Bible, worship, and taking time to sit quietly in his presence. The are the key practices that will lead us to wholeness in Jesus.
It is a difficult question to answer. I feel that being more open to God’s presence in our lives and allowing God to work with and through us, hand-in-hand needs to be first. As we solidify this relationship, then can we be more open and authentic in our relationships with others. One way to be even more authentic with others is through empathic listening, letting people know they are being heard and not just tolerated. As one of my theology professors also said, “We must always practice the radical love of Christ.” That’s authenticity at its highest.
