Today’s Reflection
PRAYER FOR THE MORNING
With this new day,
we open our eyes
and we pray:
God, inhabit our seeing.
Live in our looking.
Be our vision and our sight.
Illumine us, that we may perceive you,
know you, welcome you
in all the ways you go hiding
in this world.
PRAYER FOR THE EVENING
Now be rest for our eyes,
God of the evening.
In these dark hours,
repair us, renew us,
restore and redeem.

Today’s Scripture

Beautiful, simple prayers. So many of Jan Richardson’s words speak to me deeply.
Grateful for the end of the work week. We have meetings all day today – hoping it goes quickly and is beneficial.
Have a friend from out of town spending the night tonight. Was grateful to have the time to clean my house last evening and prepare for her arrival. She is a retired former colleague and a group of us are going out to an early dinner after meetings today at school. Have a crazy busy weekend ahead and this will start it off. Hopefully, Roger will be on his best behavior!
Grateful for change and courage to accept the new job.
Grateful for two more tuition assignments to complete as my students will be finishing their exams this year.
Grateful for the morning and evening prayers, short and meaningful.
Blessings to all and have a great weekend!
Congratulations, dear Mary! Is this the florist job? I pray it will be satisfying and enjoyable!
Yes, dear Andrea!
It is my dream job!
Blessings!

Wonderful prayers to begin and end the day. Great for today’s trip to the area of our future home. Pray we have a safe trip there and back. Fall foliage is starting to bloom. It should be a great day.
Thankful for a successful chicken pie supper at church. A lot of work, a tasty supper, and memories made.
Prayers for the UR family, their needs, concerns, joys, and praise.
Prayers for Mary and her new job, it’s very challenging being a teacher in Singapore. Prayers that this will be a good and long lasting position.
Thankful for Jill’s report about her Mom, a visitor, school, the garden, and Roger. Prayers all goes well.
Prayers for Betsy’s upcoming mission trip. Am delighted women are joining.
Prayers for Connie and green grass still have it here too.
Yes, Julie, the chicken pie supper is a fund raiser. I think it went very well.
Prayers for your needs and concerns, especially your future and being safe.
Have a great weekend dear UR family.
Thanks Robert!
May you and Erich have a safe trip and may Erich be successful in his job search!
Blessings!
The Angels are hovering over a dear relative and her time may be very short. I am so sad. She lost her husband a few months ago so there will be a “glad reunion”.
I can almost taste the chicken pie. My former church had turkey dinners and Swiss Steak dinners and the socializing was wonderful, too. Small towns, big hearts (and appetites!)
God, please help Mary with her new challenges.
Bubbie be good. (I think Roger is Bubbie along with Julie’s, but I could be mistaken)
The weekend looks rainy.
Blessings.
Thanks dear Connie!
May God’s presence be so close to you and your relatives.
Blessings!
I like these short prayers. They are easy to remember and repeat.
Prayers for Mary and her new job. Is it the florist job you mentioned? You speak of students, will you still teach?
Prayers for Robert and Erich and safe travel.
Prayers for Jill and her “crazy busy” weekend. May it also be filled with joy.
Prayers for Connie and her family as they also hover with the angels around their relative as she joins the Lord.
Prayers for Marcy. I pray she is safe.
I feel scattered. I have applied online for several jobs and am in the middle of leengthy application processes for others. None of which are really what I want or need. I need to concentrate on civil service jobs instead and would feel better if I had a better start to applying for those. I intend to address this today.
Prayers dear UR faithful and faith filled family
Thanks everyone for your prayers!
Yes, it is the florist one.
My 2 more tuition assignments completed, i will move on to my new job. Not sure if i have time to give tuition. I will be a student instead, learning how to arrange flowers and design gift hampers. Who knows, maybe one day i will be able to teach flower arrangement.
Blessings to all and may Julie be successful in her job search!
