New every morning is your love, great God of light, and all day long you are working for good in the world. Stir up in us desire to serve you, to live peacefully with our neighbors and all your creation, and to devote each day to your Son, our Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.

Today’s Reflection

We are all recipients of this Great Commission. We are all called to go about our lives with an awareness of the people we meet and how we might shape their understanding of Christ. As you are going to work or the park or the grocery store or the doctor’s office or the bus station, you are called to make disciples. The process of discipleship unfolds within our everyday lives and relationships.

—Matthew 28:19-20 (GNT)
