New every morning is your love, great God of light, and all day long you are working for good in the world. Stir up in us desire to serve you, to live peacefully with our neighbors and all your creation, and to devote each day to your Son, our Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.

Today’s Reflection

Our biggest fear is that when we open ourselves to others’ understanding of God, we will jeopardize our own path. And yet, the opposite is true. The Holy Spirit breaks free from our human-made constraints and moves fluidly among us, crossing our unnecessary lines drawn in the sand.

Today’s Scripture

Can you understand the mysteries surrounding God All-Powerful?
They are higher than the heavens and deeper than the grave.
So what can you do when you know so little,
and these mysteries outreach the earth and the ocean?
—Job 11:7-9 (CEV)

Prayer for the Week

In your infinitude, O God, you humble me. As I strive to better understand you, help me recognize this striving in others. Your presence is revealed in so many beautiful ways. Amen.

In the church before my current one there was a Bible study of passages relating to homosexuality.. The context of the passages was examined and in the end we all came to the conclusion that LOVE, the essence of God, as I understand the word, is INCLUSIVE, since every human is made in the image of God. Thank You, Lord. I am in my current church because it is INCLUSIVE.

Our current pastor includes thoughts from many different books on current events as he makes the Bible relevant today. I am stretched to understand how he relates these diverse thoughts into a sermon. I have ordered and read several of the books. Sometimes I agree and sometimes I don’t but in the end., my faith is strengthened and God’s love to all is reinforced.
I am so blessed to be able to read, read, read so that God’s message is revealed to me. Somehow God doesn’t let me quit until He has shown me the path He wants me to take.
Sending virtual hugs to all who come by today. You are Loved !!
