New every morning is your love, great God of light, and all day long you are working for good in the world. Stir up in us desire to serve you, to live peacefully with our neighbors and all your creation, and to devote each day to your Son, our Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.

Today’s Reflection

Throughout the long obedience of our faith, we carry within us the influence of the home we remember, the gifts of our past, and all the things that made us who we are. We can no more escape them than a turtle can escape its shell. At the same time, we live toward the future, always holding above and before us the hope of the home we dream: the promised day when God’s kingdom comes and God’s will is done on earth as it is in heaven and when God is fully at home among us.

By wisdom a house is built, and by understanding it is established;
by knowledge the rooms are filled with all precious and pleasant riches.

    My father was absent and unkind and therefore it is difficult for me to understand the love of the Lord.
    Making a million friends is not a miracle…the miracle is to make such a friend who can stand with you when millions are against you.
