New every morning is your love, great God of light, and all day long you are working for good in the world. Stir up in us desire to serve you, to live peacefully with our neighbors and all your creation, and to devote each day to your Son, our Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.

Today’s Reflection

Bless the flowers
That sing praises with their beauty,
The grass
That cushions my step.

Bless those who stand
With loved ones who are sick,
With friends or family who are lost.
Bring healing, bring wholeness.

—Beth A. Richardson, “A Blessing of a Summer Day,” in Christ Beside Me, Christ Within Me: Celtic Blessings (Upper Room Books, 2016)

Yes, pausing for prayers throughout the day, and for a multitood of reasons, is very helpful in grounding me in God. Thank You, Lord. Prayers for safe travels today.

It would help me be more cognizant of my surroundings and how each item is unique and wonderfully created. It would help me notice how each item I encounter adds richness to the world.
Doing your best is the best you can do.
