New every morning is your love, great God of light, and all day long you are working for good in the world. Stir up in us desire to serve you, to live peacefully with our neighbors and all your creation, and to devote each day to your Son, our Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.

Today’s Reflection

I believe that it is God’s nature to heal, that is, to continue creating us to be the unique persons God intends. When we are sick; when disaster strikes; when we are buffeted by betrayal, tragedy, abuse, or our own sin; when we are oppressed by distorted social systems, God’s desire is to redeem, transform, and make new. We are saved, redeemed, and born again not just once but repeatedly throughout our lives as we are invited to grow in grace. This growth continues whether we are old or young, renegade or saintly, overtly suffering or feeling pretty well. We can trust that God is always inviting us to the next step in our growth and healing, even at death. At every stage, age, and circumstance in our lives, God nudges us to grow and change.

Today’s Scripture

Wherever he went, into villages or cities or farms, they laid the sick in the marketplaces and begged him that they might touch even the fringe of his cloak, and all who touched it were healed.

I am comforted by the fact that we are continually saved over and over and over again- despite what we do or how we fail as earthly creatures- God continues to walk along with us and He keeps picking us up. I rest in that sweet assurance as I try to do my best in this life.
Just spent a long weekend with my youngest who flew to meet me so we could help my mom with some household tasks- 3 generations working on projects – God Bless.
Thankful for safe travels, successful work, and time spent together which makes my mother so happy. Prayers for a good work week ahead as we look forward to Thanksgiving next week. I’ll be happy to be home soon. A big work week ahead. Thank you Lord for helping me.
    God bless you all.

Yes, it is enormously comforting to know that God continues to heal in this life and the next. Of course the ultimate healing comes when he seed is planted Thank You, Lord. This truth is very to the point as today 27 + years ago my wife went off to meet the Lord.
Great to read Lou’s message and the time spent with three generations. Yes, a blessing indeed.
