Today’s Reflection
Simplicity is not denial of the complications of modern life. Simplicity is not so much an outward form of speech or manner as it is the driving heartbeat that sets the rhythm of a human life. Thomas Kelly defines simplicity as living from “a divine Center.” The simplicity that characterizes this divine center allows us to make choices among the many demands on our lives. True gratitude is born of simplicity.
—Michael E. Williams, “Grace in Simplicity,” in The Wondrous Mystery: An Upper Room Advent Reader, compiled by Benjamin Howard (Upper Room Books, 2019)

Thank You, Lord
To me, God means love. In all ways, God demonstrates love, and so I too will try to show love in all ways.
The grateful.com thoughts express this in the thoughts of Audre Lorde:
Tomorrow belongs to those of us who conceive of it belonging to everyone, who lend the best of ourselves to it, and with joy.
And H.H. the 14th Dalia Lama:
Today more than ever before, life must be characterized by a sense of Universal Responsibility, not only nation to nation, but also human forms to other forms of life.
May I be the hands and feet of Jesus in doing so.
Blessings to all.
