Today’s Reflection
Henri insists that in order to act lovingly and to embrace fundraising as a way of loving, we must allow ourselves to be possessed by God’s love. To grow in the knowledge and experience of God’s love is to know who we are and where we belong. Everything we say or do as fundraisers will be determined by the depth of our experience of love and by our ability to return to God’s loving embrace.

Today’s Scripture
The LORD, your God, is in your midst,
a warrior who gives victory;
he will rejoice over you with gladness,
he will renew you in his love;
he will exult over you with loud singing.

To be possessed by God’s love – for me that would look like intentional living on my part – being gentle, compassionate, generous in gifting time and attention to another. Striving to be Christ to another. Father God, may it be so.
Another glorious snow day – and it really wasn’t necessary. Roads were fine this morning, a little snow covered at noon and fine for the rush hour evening traffic. I met my friend for lunch and went back to her house to go through the next chapter of the book we are reading. It was very relaxing. Her dogs are not fond of the cold temps.
I got out for a walk this morning, with the snow gently falling and temps in the upper 20s. Tomorrow is going to be brisk with temps in the teens and wind.
The kittens and I are enjoying much couch time together. Next week will most assuredly be the first 5 day school week of the New Year. I am bracing myself. I did book a flight to Florida in three weeks. So – I can be looking forward to that. Using two of my attendance incentive days to go down and visit Becky, Don and dad. It will be over Super Bowl weekend, so that will be nice.
