New every morning is your love, great God of light, and all day long you are working for good in the world. Stir up in us desire to serve you, to live peacefully with our neighbors and all your creation, and to devote each day to your Son, our Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.

Today’s Reflection

The great message of Jesus is that God loves us first and that we can love one another only because God has loved us first. Jesus calls us to come home to that first love, which precedes all human loves. This is the original blessing, the original acceptance, our original home.

I am thanjkfully recovering from a different sort of cold. With so many respiratory related illnesses going around, it’s hard for me to know what I had. I will get a Ccvid ntest. I’m fully vaccnated for Covis and the flu. God helps me endure the fuistrations of my son, we are making progress, but it is slow. Expect to be at worship Sunday and help serve Communion. Thankful to be reunited with my wife’s cousin. Thank You, Lord for Your ever presence.

I love Nouwen and have enjoyed these readings this week. I hope to get the book sometime soon. I find myself lately hungering and longing more and more for spiritual food. This has been a yummy morsel.

As I go about daily public life I greet people hopefully bringing forth the love in all humanity ! I find many people are just waiting and wanting to share what is within themselves.

I grew up with parents who were incapable of true unconditional love. Therefore it is difficult for me to comprehend the love of God. I read the Bible and go to Bible Study in order to learn about God and his love.
