Today’s Reflection
Waiting for God to deliver on God’s word is not easy by any means. As we wait, we may question the belief that God has given us a word upon which to wait. Our faith dances back and forth, and we need a believing community to remind us that God is trustworthy. All we can do to determine the accuracy of our hearing is wait and see what comes to pass. Faith, hope, and trust can be contagious within a faith community.

Be patient. God is always near and God answers, replies on God’s time. God’s infinite wisdom is beyond our comprehension, that’s what trust is akk about. Thank You, Lord. You know my thoughts before I think them.
I often need this reminder. The last week hs brought challenges. I try to hold on the the assurance that I can trust God. I try to hold on to try hope that we can come out on the other side.
Due to a road mishap, our Christmas present is 2 tires. We are very thankful ther was no other damage to our car and that I kept control of the vehicle and am safe. Our washing machine is not working as of yesterday. Believing it can be repaired. God provided this washer when we needed one. Thank You Lord, for your provision.
I would like to say a word about community and how I value our NEM community. Due to my work schedule, I don’t always have time to post, but I read everyone’s comments along with the daily readings and scriptures. I find hearing about what God is doing in your lives and in the lives of all the UR community. I thank God for you, especially on those hard days. Blessings to all.
We have started to travel recently. After not doing so for a few years we were hesitant, but we trusted God to be with us and He has been on the road, in the air, and getting around in new cities. I fell once and others helped me up. My husband was tired after a long flight and as we exited the plane there was a wheelchair chair and attendant waiting for us!! I had not requested this, but she insisted that she had come for us, so we accepted the ride gladly. Could these and others be random? No, I believe they were God’s divine intervention. I trust in God, and He helps us befor we even know we need help. Thank you Lord.
Today has been a wonderful day of listening to church services and musicals and even a Christmas Eve Eve Eve…that is correct, 3 eves…today, Sunday, Dec 22, for those that will be traveling so that we won’t miss the service!! It was just beautiful! One of the services was the Mexican Las Pasadas , the Inn, and how Mary and Joseph were turned away so many times until one Inn let them in. Our pastor returned last Thursday after being in Israel and Palestine for 10 days. The conditions there today seem much like when Jesus was born. The song Oh come, Oh come Emmanuel is so fitting .
I am filled with Christmas Spirit and look forward to celebrating more. As those long ago trusted God, so I do today.
Blessing to all as we wait.
