Today’s Reflection
In more recent years I have . . . intended to fast from habits that separate me from the Holy One. I have given up worry, cynicism, or social media to help me move closer to the heart of God. I have also taken on new practices during the season of Lent. Centering Prayer and mindfulness meditation are two practices that have been helpful to my spiritual journey.
What clutters your heart or mind and gets in the way of your love of God or neighbor? What could you give up or take on during this Lenten journey?

The clash of two people , both of whom, I am trying to help. I’m in an awkward position at the moment, but believe a solution is on the way. Keep at it and things will work out. Thank You, Lord.
Prayers for a friend who suddenly lost a longtime friend yesterday. He died in the ambulance on the way to the hospital. The day before they had enjoyed a nice dinner with lots of laughs remembering old times. The snow is vanishing, the river is high and fast, It hits freezing at night and the low to mid 50s during the day. I have no idea how the sugaring season is going. It could be a short one. Thank You, Lord, for the blessings of the day
During Lent I’ve taken on the practice of my youth of ending the day on my (now creaky) knees in prayer. My prayers are usually centered on asking for help and guidance but these nightly prayers are only focused on thanking God for all He has done for me that day. I must admit i occasionally have been already tucked away when I remember so I pop out and fall to my knees and thank him- my Lenten practice that I hope becomes my year round practice -thank you God for all of your gifts – even in the midst of our trials we always have something to be grateful for-praying for you all today.
I also began thanking God for the blessings he has bestowed upon me. I feel truly blessed and thankful and the more I acknowledge my blessings the more aware I become of the many ways God blesses me. I would like to add meditating on a scripture verse each day also. I need to be more conscious of this and begin a routine.
