Today’s Reflection
Nature’s beauty is itself a reflection of Jesus’ own beauty. Thomas Aquinas reminded us that God wove beauty into the world to reflect God’s own beauty. Jesus will “make the woeful heart to sing” no matter how we think of him. . . . The antidote to despair is praise. For us, we see the Beautiful Savior at our Lord’s table.

Something More
After a significant loss, many people rush to get back a sense of normalcy without allowing themselves time to heal and learn from that loss. Our loving and compassionate God longs to walk with individuals on a transformational journey through loss toward becoming more emotionally and spiritually whole. What Loss Can Teach Us: A Sacred Pathway to Growth and Healing, shows readers that God offers an “on ramp” to the process of tending to their pain.

Walks in the woods, mountain peaks, waterfalls, gurgling brooks, sunshine, passing clouds, budding trees, plants, fiddlehead ferns, and the list goes on – all nature sings of the beauty of the Lord. Thank You, Lord. Rain then snow today.
The rebirth and growth of spring, the flowers and budding trees, sunrise and sunset and the warmth of the sun on my face, a baby’s laugh, a stranger’s smile and a cat’s purr all of these are examples of Jesus’s beauty.
Sunsets are pretty incredible. Also, on some of my morning runs – before dawn – the cotton candy colored skies. Sometimes the moon in the crisp, dark mornings. Now – signs of spring…daffodils everywhere. One lone hyacinth in my front bed…a gift the year mom passed from a friend.
A full week, hectic, at times stressful. Two more weeks until spring break. All the teachers are laboring.
Got a good report from my periodontist – my gum is healing well.
Was thankful to have well timed breaks in the rain today – for a morning run and an afternoon walk. Have had mild mornings the past few days – and fortunate to get runs in without getting wet. Looking forward to tennis tomorrow.
