New every morning is your love, great God of light, and all day long you are working for good in the world. Stir up in us desire to serve you, to live peacefully with our neighbors and all your creation, and to devote each day to your Son, our Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.

Today’s Reflection

“Remember to value each tradition equally. One framework is not more advanced than the other,” Dale [the minister who would officiate our wedding] offered. . . .

Dale’s gentle instructions reminded us that any marriage—but especially a Christian-Hindu interfaith partnership—needed consistent nurturing and communication. Fred and I would have to meet at the well constantly, drawing on the sacred water that excited us in the weeks following our first date.

Today’s Scripture

your people shall be my people, and your God my God.”

Prayer for the Week

In your infinitude, O God, you humble me. As I strive to better understand you, help me recognize this striving in others. Your presence is revealed in so many beautiful ways. Amen.

I believe increased communication can deepen the relationships
I value remembering that it takes equal opportunity for both sides
to have genuine communication. Both sides should value listening
more than speaking. Very thankfully our new dryer is now doing
a wonderful job, Erich cleaned the lint nd obstacle clogged vent and installed
a new vent pipe. What we hoped for is now reality. Thank You,Lord.
